This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established financial services provider as a Compliance Analyst within the Trust and Corporate Services division. The successful individual will support the compliance function to ensure regulatory adherence and contribute to the ongoing integrity and reputation of the organisation’s compliance framework.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Compliance Monitoring Programme by conducting CMP reviews and preparing reports.
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with The Fiduciary Rules and Guidance, the Handbook on Countering Financial Crime, and other local regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with client due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (ECDD) processes for both new and existing clients.
  • Reviewing sanctions screening alerts and escalating potential matches for further action.
  • Supporting investigations relating to Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and assisting the MLRO as needed.
  • Helping to draft, review and maintain compliance policies, ensuring staff awareness of and adherence to internal procedures.
  • Assisting with regulatory reporting and audit preparations, including responding to regulator queries and inspection requests.
  • Providing training support by maintaining staff training records and assisting in compliance training delivery.
  • Maintaining various compliance registers such as breaches, complaints, and gifts & hospitality logs.
  • Offering administrative support to compliance-related initiatives and broader business projects.


Skills / Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally have at least 2 years' experience in a compliance-focused role within the financial services sector. A strong understanding of GFSC regulatory requirements and anti-financial crime legislation is essential, along with working knowledge of fiduciary rules. Applicants should be proactive, detail-oriented and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also key, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential. A relevant professional qualification such as ICA Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) is preferred, and qualifications such as STEP or ICSA (CGI) would be advantageous.
