Senior Project Manager

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Leading the design, planning, implementation and monitoring of multiple BaU infrastructure and cloud migration projects across on-premise and public cloud environments.
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, technical partners, and third-party vendors to ensure effective project execution and alignment with strategic infrastructure goals.
• Managing the full project lifecycle, from resourcing and budgeting (circa £1–2m annually) to delivery and benefit realisation.
• Overseeing project risks, eliminating single points of failure, and championing resilience and compliance from the outset.
• Ensuring robust documentation, clear governance, and ongoing engagement with technical and operational teams.
• Contributing to the wider IT infrastructure roadmap and advising on technological improvements that support future delivery and automation.
• Developing and managing comprehensive project plans and portfolios, tracking KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
• Motivating cross-functional teams and fostering strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering IT infrastructure projects in both Agile and Waterfall environments, with a strong understanding of compute, network, storage and database technologies across cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise systems. A formal project management qualification or equivalent hands-on experience is essential, along with the ability to manage complex project portfolios with competing priorities. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are critical, as is the capability to drive strategic outcomes and ensure value for money. Experience with corporate systems such as SAP or MS Dynamics, and knowledge of financial governance frameworks, would be advantageous.
