This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at a senior level, leading a team responsible for delivering and maintaining vital online IT systems. This role sits within the Risk and Operations function and oversees all aspects of online services delivery, including team leadership, resource planning, and project oversight.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the online services team to deliver approved workstreams effectively and within agreed timeframes.
  • Managing the programme of works across the IT function, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and strategic plans.
  • Ensuring the availability, performance and continued enhancement of business-critical IT systems.
  • Facilitating timely and accurate communication between technical teams, management and stakeholders.
  • Conducting regular team appraisals, identifying training needs and supporting individual development goals.
  • Managing vendor relationships and contributing to IT budgeting and resource planning.
  • Overseeing the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and maintenance.
  • Maintaining risk registers and supporting the implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to deliver IT transformation and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, best practices and risk frameworks.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience leading IT service delivery in a regulated, operationally complex or project-focused environment. A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, IT risk management and enterprise architecture is essential. Candidates will be confident in managing people and projects, with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on operational execution. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are vital, alongside a pragmatic and flexible approach to prioritising shifting demands.
