This role combines day-to-day HR advisory support with the opportunity to contribute to wider people initiatives and continuous improvement. From employee relations and performance management to onboarding, retention and talent programmes, you'll play an important part in delivering a responsive and commercially focused HR service. It's an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking to broaden their influence within a collaborative team.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a broad range of people matters.
- Support the effective management of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence issues.
- Advise on the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
- Build strong relationships with managers and develop an in-depth understanding of the business areas you support.
- Assist with annual HR processes, including salary reviews, bonus recommendations and performance cycles.
- Coordinate internal and external secondments, transfers and employee mobility processes.
- Deliver HR induction sessions for new employees and support onboarding activities.
- Provide guidance on parental leave, retirement arrangements and other employee lifecycle matters.
- Conduct exit interviews and support the development of employee retention initiatives.
- Coordinate trainee induction programmes and support student recruitment initiatives.
- Produce HR reports and identify opportunities to improve HR processes and service delivery.
- Support the wider HR Business Partnering team during periods of increased workload or absence.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years' experience in an HR advisory role, ideally gained within a legal or professional services environment, together with a strong understanding of employee relations and employment legislation. CIPD qualification, or working towards it, would be advantageous. You'll possess excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. A proactive, professional approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion will be essential to success in this role
