If you're an HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers and providing practical people advice, this role offers plenty of variety. You'll support a range of business areas across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and absence management through to performance and employee relations. It's an excellent opportunity to broaden your HR advisory experience within a professional HR team.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle.
  • Support recruitment, selection, probation, secondments, promotions and employee exits.
  • Advise managers on the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures and employment terms.
  • Support the management of sickness absence, including Occupational Health referrals and return-to-work arrangements.
  • Assist managers with conduct, capability and performance matters.
  • Provide impartial HR guidance to employees and signpost appropriate support where required.
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning and analysis of workforce information.
  • Maintain accurate HR and organisational records and management information.
  • Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to deliver an effective business partnering service.
  • Contribute to HR projects, transformation initiatives and continuous service improvement.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous HR experience and a good understanding of HR best practice, policies, procedures and employment legislation. You'll ideally hold a CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice (Level 3) or be willing to work towards this, together with excellent interpersonal, written communication and organisational skills. You'll be approachable and confident working with managers and employees, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally, prioritise competing deadlines and provide practical HR support. Experience working with HR systems and workforce data would also be advantageous.
