Leading a large client accounting function across trusts, companies and fund structures, this role offers the opportunity to shape strategy, develop teams and drive operational excellence within a well-established fiduciary business. You'll combine technical expertise with leadership responsibilities while overseeing a significant portfolio of client entities.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the Group client accounting and bookkeeping function across trusts, companies and funds.
- Overseeing financial reporting, tax compliance and accounting delivery for a large portfolio of entities.
- Reviewing and ensuring the timely preparation of financial statements and client reporting.
- Managing external audit processes and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Overseeing Guernsey and UK tax compliance, VAT reporting and related filings.
- Managing and developing accounting and bookkeeping teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Establishing KPIs, performance standards and development plans for team members.
- Driving process improvements, standardisation and operational efficiencies.
- Implementing governance frameworks and strengthening financial controls.
- Supporting the adoption of digital accounting tools and reporting technologies.
- Working closely with senior leadership to develop departmental strategy and long-term objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with GFSC, tax and regulatory requirements.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and possess significant experience within client accounting, fiduciary services or financial services environments. They will demonstrate strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, alongside experience managing accounting teams and complex client structures. Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills are essential, together with experience overseeing audits, tax compliance and regulatory reporting. The successful individual will be commercially aware, strategically minded and capable of driving operational excellence while developing high-performing teams.
