This is a 1-month fixed term contract opportunity for someone looking to develop or build on their financial crime experience. With a primary focus on screening activities, you'll support a busy Compliance team while gaining broader exposure to AML, sanctions and financial crime controls. Full-time hours are preferred, although 30 hours per week may also be considered.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertake and support financial crime screening activities.
  • Maintain accurate financial crime records, trackers and supporting documentation.
  • Support AML/CFT/CPF, sanctions and wider financial crime processes.
  • Assist senior Compliance colleagues with financial crime-related administration.
  • Support customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence and ongoing monitoring activities where required.
  • Assist with the recording and escalation of financial crime matters.
  • Collate information and prepare routine management information and reports.
  • Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Operations and other internal teams.
  • Escalate unusual, sensitive or higher-risk matters appropriately.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive client and financial crime information.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have some previous experience within financial crime, compliance, administration or financial services, together with excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Previous exposure to screening, sanctions, AML/CDD, client risk assessments or ongoing monitoring would be particularly useful, although a willingness to develop specialist financial crime knowledge is equally important. You'll be confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn screening and case management systems quickly, with a professional and discreet approach to handling sensitive information. Strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities accurately will also be important.
