If you're looking to build your career within AML and Compliance, this role offers excellent exposure across a broad range of financial crime and customer due diligence activities. You'll support onboarding, trigger events and periodic reviews while working closely with customers, advisers and operational teams. Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Perform risk-based reviews of individual, corporate and trustee customers.
- Support customer onboarding, trigger event reviews and scheduled periodic reviews.
- Analyse corporate structures and complete relevant research and screening.
- Carry out transaction monitoring and escalate concerns where appropriate.
- Review and obtain appropriate source of funds and source of wealth evidence.
- Check and approve customer risk assessments within the relevant framework.
- Ensure enhanced due diligence and other risk-based measures are completed.
- Carry out AML, CDD, fraud and compliance testing activities.
- Liaise with customers and financial advisers regarding CDD and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update relevant systems.
- Escalate documentation, evidence and data gaps to the appropriate teams.
- Support projects, system testing and improvements to operational processes.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have ideally at least 1 year's experience within the financial services industry, together with knowledge or experience of CDD and AML requirements. You'll have a good understanding of regulatory requirements, experience dealing with customers and strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and customer data systems. Excellent attention to detail, organisation and prioritisation skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently, manage high volumes of work and maintain a professional, customer-focused approach. You'll be analytical and proactive, with the confidence to identify issues, use initiative and contribute to improving processes and controls.
