You'll carry out compliance monitoring reviews, test regulatory controls and help identify practical improvements while working closely with stakeholders across the organisation. Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Undertake risk-based compliance monitoring reviews across different business areas and jurisdictions.
- Scope reviews and perform sample testing against relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assess the effectiveness of key regulatory controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Draft clear reports outlining findings and practical recommendations.
- Maintain records of compliance findings, actions and remediation activity.
- Work with business stakeholders to ensure identified issues are addressed within agreed timescales.
- Assist with reviewing and maintaining Risk & Compliance policies and procedures.
- Support the delivery of the wider Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Liaise with Risk & Compliance, Finance, HR and other business teams on regulatory matters.
- Respond to stakeholder queries relating to monitoring activity, findings and policy updates.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience within a regulated financial services environment, gained in client administration, compliance, audit, risk, operational control or a similar role. You'll ideally have a good understanding of corporate and fiduciary services in Guernsey and/or Jersey, together with knowledge of relevant AML, CFT and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, professional written reports are important, alongside a proactive and collaborative approach. You'll be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and keen to continue developing your career within Risk & Compliance.
