Join a collaborative Compliance team in a newly created role offering broad exposure across regulatory assurance and financial crime. You'll provide practical guidance to the business, support monitoring and policy development and help ensure regulatory requirements are effectively embedded. Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide practical compliance advice and guidance to client-facing and operational teams.
- Support the delivery and enhancement of the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Undertake risk-based testing, thematic reviews and remediation tracking.
- Review client files, CDD, EDD, trigger events and periodic reviews.
- Advise on higher-risk relationships, source of wealth/funds, PEPs and jurisdictional risks.
- Review sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening alerts.
- Support regulatory inspections, audits and assurance reviews.
- Assist with regulatory filings, notifications and information requests.
- Monitor regulatory developments and support policy and procedural updates.
- Prepare compliance management information and Board/committee reporting.
- Support training and promote a strong compliance culture.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have ideally at least 5 years' relevant compliance experience within funds, corporate, private wealth, family office or a similar regulated financial services environment. You'll have strong knowledge of Guernsey regulatory requirements and AML/CFT/CPF obligations, with the confidence to provide practical advice and constructive challenge to the business. An ICA Diploma, or willingness to work towards this level of qualification, is preferred. Excellent communication, analytical and report-writing skills are essential, together with sound judgement, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
