For a qualified accountant with fiduciary sector experience, this role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, tax compliance, audit coordination and team development. Strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be key to success.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements for trust and corporate structures.
- Supporting tax compliance activities, including Guernsey and UK tax returns and VAT submissions.
- Preparing quarterly net asset reports and loan interest certificates.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
- Assisting with the management and coordination of external audit processes.
- Supporting FATCA, CRS and Economic Substance reporting requirements.
- Reviewing accounting records and investigating discrepancies where required.
- Preparing monthly accounting statistics and management information.
- Assisting with the implementation of governance frameworks and process improvements.
- Supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members.
- Participating in special projects and complaint investigations where required.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and possess a minimum of 5 years' experience within the trust, fiduciary or corporate services sector. They will demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP, together with experience preparing financial statements and supporting tax compliance activities. Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Previous experience mentoring or supervising junior team members would be advantageous. The successful individual will be detail-oriented, proactive and committed to delivering high-quality client service.
