Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
- Produce financial performance reports for Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
- Analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts and prior periods, identifying key trends and risks.
- Develop management information, KPIs and financial performance metrics.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to senior stakeholders across the business.
- Support pricing decisions, product development and commercial initiatives through financial analysis.
- Prepare and submit financial and regulatory returns to the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
- Maintain robust governance, controls and documentation for regulatory reporting.
- Drive process improvements, automation and finance transformation initiatives.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and a strong background in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling. You'll have advanced Excel skills, excellent analytical ability and experience preparing Board and Executive-level reporting. Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills are essential, together with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences. Previous banking or financial services experience would be advantageous, as would knowledge of South African Reserve Bank (SARB) reporting, Power BI, financial planning systems and banking profitability, capital and liquidity metrics.
