Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Process monthly crew payrolls accurately, using internal systems and validation tools.
- Verify payroll data received from vessels and reconcile wage information.
- Monitor cash balances and coordinate invoicing to ensure sufficient funds are available for payroll payments.
- Arrange payment of crew wages and related payments in line with agreed schedules.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from crew, captains, and owners.
- Manage payroll year-end processes for assigned portfolios.
- Prepare and issue employment agreements and related crew documentation.
- Act as a first point of contact for employment-related queries, escalating where required.
- Liaise with relevant authorities in relation to crew employment matters.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of procedures and assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll, HR administration, or a similar operational role, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively. You will be a confident communicator, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, and proficient in using business systems and digital tools. A collaborative attitude, good organisational skills, and a practical approach to problem-solving will be key to thriving in this role.
