Guernsey, Channel Islands

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing monthly crew payrolls, including verification of payroll data and reconciliation of wages.
  • Monitoring cash balances and supporting the preparation of invoices to request funds from yacht owners.
  • Arranging crew wage payments and ensuring payment schedules are accurately implemented.
  • Producing and processing crew employment agreements and associated documentation.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for crew, captains, and owners regarding employment and payroll queries.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential crew records within internal systems and document management platforms.
  • Liaising with external authorities, including flag administrations, social security bodies, and trade unions where required.
  • Ensuring payroll year-end processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Keeping up to date with seafarer employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of internal procedures and assisting with ad hoc projects as required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in payroll, HR administration, or a related operational support role, ideally within a regulated or marine environment. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with systems and data are essential, alongside the ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. A proactive approach, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities will be key to success in this role.
