This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trust administrator to manage their own portfolio while contributing to a supportive and growing team.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the day-to-day affairs of an allocated portfolio of clients in accordance with the relevant terms of appointment.
- Administer the portfolio autonomously, seeking advice and guidance from senior colleagues when appropriate.
- Deliver a high standard of service to new, existing and prospective clients.
- Liaise with clients and professional intermediaries regarding administered entities and their investments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, advisers and intermediaries.
- Attend meetings with clients, intermediaries and advisers in Guernsey or overseas when authorised.
- Maintain accurate legal, statutory and accounting records for all client entities.
- Complete trust control functions within agreed timescales, including periodic reviews, accounts and register updates.
- Ensure client assets are correctly identified, allocated and appropriately controlled.
- Review financial statements for entities under administration.
- Follow relevant internal procedures and recommend appropriate improvements or amendments.
- Ensure client matters are handled in accordance with legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to the relevant boards, committees and senior colleagues.
- Maintain required continuing professional development and training.
- Assist senior team members in response to workload requirements.
- Provide training and support to direct reports, helping them perform their responsibilities to the required standard.
- Undertake other reasonable duties in support of the team.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience within trust administration or a similar private wealth role, together with sound technical knowledge of offshore structures. They will be able to manage and prioritise their own caseload while maintaining accuracy and close attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, advisers and colleagues are essential. They will also demonstrate integrity, resilience, initiative and a positive, flexible approach, with a willingness to support others and study towards a relevant professional qualification if required.
