Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of trust and company clients.
  • Set up and maintain accurate client information, databases and statutory records.
  • Prepare minutes of directors' and shareholders' meetings and trustee resolutions.
  • Complete day-to-day bookkeeping for companies and trusts up to trial balance, including monthly reconciliations.
  • Assist with opening and closing entity bank accounts and reviewing incoming funds.
  • Develop experience liaising with banks regarding payments, deposits, investment transactions and settlement instructions.
  • Prepare routine client correspondence and emails for review by senior team members.
  • Assist with the preparation of routine investment review minutes.
  • Develop an understanding of relevant policies and procedures and apply these to day-to-day administration.
  • Build knowledge of trusts and legal entities, alongside an awareness of relevant tax considerations.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping records and work towards agreed utilisation and service standards.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be looking to begin and develop a career within trust and company administration, with a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent. You'll be a confident and effective communicator with good organisational skills and the ability to work accurately to agreed standards. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to teamwork are essential, alongside a strong focus on delivering excellent client service. You'll be comfortable taking guidance from more experienced colleagues while gradually developing greater technical knowledge and responsibility.
