Join the Technology Leadership Team in a role with responsibility stretching from operational performance through to strategic transformation. You'll oversee critical services, infrastructure and security while working with the CIO to develop future technology priorities. It's ideally suited to an experienced leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on operational expertise.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Lead technology services across infrastructure, networks, platforms and core systems.
- Maintain high levels of service availability, performance and resilience.
- Oversee and improve IT Service Management processes.
- Develop cloud, infrastructure and platform strategies.
- Drive automation, observability and modern infrastructure practices.
- Lead cybersecurity monitoring, controls and incident response.
- Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Maintain technology policies, controls and regulatory compliance.
- Lead technology-related audit activity and first-line risk ownership.
- Manage operational budgets, procurement and strategic suppliers.
- Drive cost optimisation and value from technology investment.
- Support the CIO in delivering Technology, Digital and Data strategy.
- Contribute to transformation, digital innovation and AI adoption.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring significant technology leadership experience, typically gained over 10-15 years or more in progressively senior roles, with proven success delivering technology strategy and operational excellence within complex environments. You'll have strong knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure, service management, security and operational resilience, together with experience leading large-scale transformation and managing strategic technology suppliers. Experience within financial services or another highly regulated sector is important, alongside the ability to influence executive stakeholders while remaining close to operational delivery. Qualifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM or relevant Azure/AWS certifications would be advantageous.
