Lead the development of a data environment built for better decisions, stronger regulatory reporting and future innovation. You'll oversee everything from governance and data quality to analytics and enterprise platforms while supporting wider digital, technology and AI transformation. The role combines strategic influence with responsibility for tangible delivery.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Define and deliver the enterprise Data Strategy and roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities to use data, analytics and automation to improve business outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise-wide data governance.
  • Lead the Data Governance Committee and embed effective data ownership and stewardship.
  • Drive improvements in data quality, controls and master data management.
  • Oversee data warehousing, ETL, reporting and visualisation capabilities.
  • Develop analytics, management information and business intelligence.
  • Ensure regulatory data and reporting are accurate and compliant.
  • Support audit, risk and compliance reviews relating to data.
  • Lead and develop the Data function.
  • Manage key data technology suppliers and partners.
  • Support digital transformation, automation and AI initiatives. 

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven senior Data leadership experience within a complex and regulated environment, ideally financial services, with extensive experience delivering data strategy, governance, analytics and enterprise data management initiatives. You'll have a strong understanding of modern technology and cloud environments, together with a track record of improving data quality, governance and regulatory reporting. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills are essential, including experience working with C-suite stakeholders and leading high-performing teams. Qualifications such as CDMP, CISA, TOGAF or COBIT would be advantageous, as would relevant project or risk management credentials.
