Join a respected insurance provider and take the lead in delivering comprehensive client servicing across a diverse portfolio. This role is suited to an experienced insurance professional with a background in captives, strong technical knowledge, and a commitment to mentoring others. Working closely with both clients and junior team members, you'll play a vital part in maintaining regulatory compliance, driving operational excellence, and supporting wider business objectives.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing all client insurance and reinsurance administration tasks across an allocated portfolio.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including the GFSC, auditors, and legal counsel.
  • Preparing and presenting the insurance section of board packs at client meetings.
  • Establishing and maintaining underwriting and reinsurance programmes.
  • Preparing and reviewing policy wordings, renewal reports, and reinsurer presentation packs.
  • Overseeing claims and bordereaux reviews, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
  • Monitoring and managing reinsurance recoveries, ensuring amounts due are promptly collected.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely insurance accounts and underwriting statistics.
  • Ensuring all policies, renewals, and cancellations are issued and processed appropriately.
  • Supporting client onboarding and handling new business enquiries.
  • Monitoring client solvency and capital adequacy, advising where action is required.
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior staff, including reviewing their work and guiding professional development.
  • Contributing to the positive working culture through professional conduct and collaboration.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised professional qualification such as Cert CII (or equivalent) and have a strong foundation in captive insurance. They will be confident in client communications, policy management, and team leadership. Key attributes include:

  • Extensive experience within the captive or broader insurance industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and support junior staff.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business systems.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, aligned with values of engagement, empathy, and excellence
