Our client is seeking a Technical Specialist or Senior Analyst to join their Banking and Insurance Division. This role will contribute to the prudential and conduct supervision of insurers, managers, intermediaries, and related firms licensed in the Bailiwick. The successful candidate will bring strong insurance sector expertise and support supervisory, regulatory, and risk management work across a diverse and high-profile portfolio.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the delivery of prudential, conduct, and financial crime regulation across the Bailiwick.
  • Assisting with licensing applications, notifications, and submissions from licensees.
  • Identifying and monitoring risks within the insurance sector and preparing briefings or reports.
  • Leading aspects of on-site supervision including planning, conducting, and reviewing visits.
  • Providing advice on complex cases requiring regulatory consideration or enforcement.
  • Liaising with licensees, regulators, and professional advisers, and representing the organisation in meetings, workshops, and training.
  • Preparing and presenting management information, briefings, and recommendations.
  • Supporting internal projects, initiatives, and supervisory process improvements.
  • Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and promoting a culture of compliance and cooperation.
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing to professional development within the team.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the insurance sector, including capital rules and risk management. Experience in areas such as financial analysis, valuation, ORSA-related work, or compliance is desirable, together with at least five years' relevant industry or regulatory experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical ability, and proven supervisory or project leadership experience are essential. Candidates should be proactive, able to work independently, and confident in liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
