This is an excellent opportunity to join the enterprise network operations team of a leading telecommunications provider on a temporary contract basis until 31/12/2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands-on support and delivery of network and security services across customer LAN, WAN, WLAN, and firewall environments. This role offers the chance to work with a variety of technologies and high-profile clients in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the first escalation point for network and security incidents.
  • Managing fault resolution and root cause analysis for enterprise clients.
  • Executing customer requests and change activities across managed infrastructure.
  • Supporting the configuration and deployment of Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and Ubiquiti hardware.
  • Monitoring network support systems and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
  • Providing on-site and remote technical assistance and working within customer premises and data centres.
  • Participating in an on-call rota to provide 24x7x365 support.
  • Assisting with new customer service transitions and documentation.
  • Contributing to datacentre operations including cabling, remote hands, and maintenance.
  • Participating in technical projects and supporting service innovation.


Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Cisco CCNA (or equivalent) or be willing to achieve certification within 12 months. Experience working with IP routing and switching, along with hands-on knowledge of firewalls and wireless technologies, is essential. Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, and Ubiquiti/Unifi products is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to service delivery.
