This is a great opportunity to join a well-regarded local bank in a customer-facing mortgage role. Working closely with internal teams, external brokers and property professionals, the successful candidate will play a key part in developing new mortgage business and maintaining strong relationships with clients and intermediaries.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling enquiries from new and existing mortgage customers, both directly and via the broker channel.
  • Conducting mortgage meetings, completing approval in principle calculations, and packaging applications for submission.
  • Promoting the organisation's reputation and mortgage offering to customers, brokers, and local contacts.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, estate agents, and legal professionals to support application processing.
  • Ensuring a consistently high level of customer service and appropriate outcomes.
  • Supporting project work as required by senior managers.

Skills / Qualifications

Applicants should ideally hold a full CeMAP qualification (or equivalent), though full training will be provided. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple applications under pressure. Previous customer-facing experience is essential, and confidence in engaging with both clients and third-party contacts is key. An understanding of financial services regulation, AML obligations, and property markets across Guernsey, Jersey and the UK would be an advantage.
