This is a varied role within a leading financial services provider, offering the opportunity to develop cross-functional knowledge through a rotational programme within the Operations department. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in areas such as custody, settlements, reconciliations, and payment processing while being supported in their development through on-the-job training and potential future qualifications.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Processing settlement of trades and free transfers within the custody and settlements team.
- Administering payment instructions including BACS, standing orders, inward funds, and internal transfers.
- Supporting the reconciliation of cash and securities across relevant accounts.
- Processing and updating records for corporate actions, dividend payments, shareholder meetings and disclosures.
- Ensuring all transactions meet regulatory requirements, internal policies, and service level agreements.
- Liaising with internal teams to support client service and timely processing.
- Participating in a structured rotation across operations functions to support broader departmental coverage.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good time management skills, and a willingness to learn. A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic IT systems is required. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain experience across operations functions within a banking environment, with scope for further development including professional study such as Securities Institute qualifications in future.
