This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified (or near qualified) accountant to join a private equity-focused fund administration team. The role combines financial reporting, client interaction and technical oversight of fund structures.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and preparing financial reporting for a portfolio of closed-ended private equity funds.
- Producing annual financial statements, management accounts and capital account statements in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring accounting standards and best practice principles are applied and maintained.
- Calculating Net Asset Values (NAVs) in accordance with fund documentation.
- Assisting with the setup of reporting structures for new funds.
- Providing guidance to administration and investor services teams on capital calls and distribution calculations.
- Liaising with clients and professional advisers to agree reporting timetables.
- Attending board meetings to present accounts and respond to accounting-related queries.
- Coordinating with auditors to ensure timely completion of annual audits.
- Ensuring all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations are met.
- Supporting the ongoing development of internal accounting policies and procedures.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified or near qualified, with strong technical knowledge of accounting requirements for closed-ended private equity funds. They will demonstrate solid and pragmatic accounting skills, strong analytical ability and advanced Excel proficiency. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines are essential. Experience with eFront systems and prior exposure to private equity reporting would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be confident presenting to clients and working independently within a team-oriented environment.
