Joining a busy Client Accounting function on a 3-month temporary contract, you'll support a portfolio of trust and company entities while assisting with a range of bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities. Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail will be key to success.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Completing bookkeeping for a portfolio of trust and company structures.
- Processing and recording investment transactions accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Reconciling bank accounts and investment ledgers.
- Assisting with a range of accounting and bookkeeping tasks as required.
- Supporting accounting change initiatives, testing and implementation projects.
- Maintaining accurate records and timekeeping documentation.
- Assisting with the training and support of administration team members on bookkeeping matters.
- Liaising with colleagues regarding accounting queries and technical matters.
- Supporting the wider Client Accounting team with ad hoc projects and assignments.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience and a sound understanding of accounting principles, ideally gained within a trust, fiduciary, accounting practice or financial services environment. They may hold, or be studying towards, a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work accurately to deadlines are essential. The successful candidate will be proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
