Join a specialist Risk Assurance team where you'll help shape the delivery of technology-enabled audit and assurance services. You'll manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee data analytics and technology risk engagements and contribute to strategic initiatives involving automation and AI. Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the delivery of data assurance, digital audit and technology consulting engagements.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and oversee deadlines, deliverables and quality standards.
- Act as a technical specialist in designing and delivering data analytics solutions for audit and advisory engagements.
- Assess the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of IT General Controls and application controls.
- Support the testing of key reports, system interfaces and related technology dependencies.
- Apply data analytics techniques to identify risks and support external financial statement audits.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant audit, assurance and advisory standards.
- Support the adoption of new technologies, automation and AI within the Risk Assurance team.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives involving advanced data acquisition and agentic AI capabilities.
- Prepare client reports, proposals and other engagement documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with external audit teams and colleagues across the wider business.
- Provide coaching, guidance and development support to junior team members.
- Ensure engagements comply with internal risk, quality and governance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to develop services and support the growth of the Risk Assurance practice.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing internal or external audit and assurance engagements as a Data Assurance specialist, together with strong knowledge of data analytics, technology risk and IT controls. You'll have excellent project management, leadership and client relationship skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements and develop junior colleagues. A relevant degree in Accounting, IT or Business, together with a professional qualification in accounting, data science or a related discipline, is expected. Experience using Alteryx, SQL, Python, Power BI or Power Platformwould be advantageous, alongside knowledge of AI tools, cyber security, technology risk and financial services. Additional qualifications such as CIA, PRINCE2, Agile, COBIT, CRISC or relevant information security certificationswould also be beneficial.
