Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud to manage and maintain robust cloud infrastructure solutions. This role focuses on managing datacentre infrastructure, desktop and server virtualisation, and supporting backup, recovery, and network operations.

Responsibilities
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Investigating and resolving customer support and internal system issues, including root cause analysis.
- Responding to technical incidents where no predefined process exists, applying sound troubleshooting methodologies.
- Provisioning, adjusting, and recovering customer services efficiently and accurately.
- Managing third-party vendor support escalations, including issue criticality and case progression.
- Contributing to continuous service improvement through active feedback and suggestions.
- Managing workload to balance day-to-day tasks alongside project responsibilities.
- Complying with data protection, health and safety, regulatory, and information security standards.
- Participating in security awareness training and adhering to incident reporting protocols.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a systems administration or infrastructure support role, preferably within a service provider environment. A good working knowledge of IT infrastructure—including storage, virtualisation, Microsoft AD and DNS—is essential, along with experience in backup and replication technologies. Associate-level certifications such as CCNA or VCA are desirable.
The ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative, and contribute positively to team dynamics is key. Candidates should also bring strong troubleshooting skills, accuracy, and a focus on delivering excellent customer service in fast-paced environments. Experience with frameworks such as ITIL, ISO27001, or PCI-DSS would be an advantage.
