If you're an experienced Senior Officer ready to take the next step in your finance career, this role offers an excellent opportunity to move into management. You'll take responsibility for financial reporting across the UK and Switzerland while supervising a small team and working closely with senior finance colleagues. Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and supervise monthly and quarterly financial reporting across allocated jurisdictions.
- Take particular responsibility for finance activities relating to the UK and Switzerland operations.
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial information and annual budgets.
- Review general ledger postings, VAT returns and cross-border invoicing.
- Coordinate annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
- Support relevant UK statutory and finance requirements, including Companies House matters and VAT.
- Prepare and manage cashflow forecasts across allocated jurisdictions.
- Oversee bank, intercompany and salary reconciliations.
- Support debt collection and credit control activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, procedures and systems.
- Supervise a small number of finance team members, managing workloads and deadlines.
- Support performance reviews, objectives and development plans for team members.
- Deputise for the Finance Manager when required.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent accountant, potentially operating at Senior Officer level and ready to take the next step into a management position. You'll have strong technical accounting knowledge together with solid team supervisory experience and the confidence to manage and develop a small number of finance staff. Familiarity with UK requirements, including Companies House and VAT, is particularly important, as the role will have responsibility for the UK and Switzerland side of the business. You'll also bring strong analytical and communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines while taking a practical and commercially minded approach to your work.
