Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, manage and develop accounting team members across client engagements.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, management accounts and other client reporting.
  • Provide guidance on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, auditors and third-party service providers.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients and delivery of accounting services across jurisdictions.
  • Monitor accounting records, reporting deadlines and regulatory obligations.
  • Present financial information to client boards, investors and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver technical training, coaching and development to colleagues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and operational efficiency.
  • Support business development with existing and prospective clients.
  • Assess and manage accounting, client and regulatory risks.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an experienced accounting professional who is ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by relevant experience, with in-depth technical knowledge and practical application of UK GAAP and IFRS. You'll have proven experience managing complex accounting engagements and leading and developing teams through coaching, delegation and performance management. Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills are essential, together with excellent analytical ability, commercial judgement and attention to detail. You'll be confident presenting complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining consistently high standards of delivery.
