Accuracy, organisation and strong technical knowledge are at the heart of this Senior Client Accountant position. You'll take responsibility for a portfolio of trust and company clients while supporting the preparation of financial reports and helping junior colleagues develop their skills.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare financial statements for a portfolio of trust and company clients.
  • Produce management accounts, loan interest schedules, asset statements and other ad hoc financial reports.
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting requirements of a portfolio of clients.
  • Liaise with clients, trust administration teams and professional advisers on accounting-related matters.
  • Support and guide junior team members, assisting with day-to-day queries where required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure client deadlines and service standards are achieved.
  • Prepare accounts in accordance with IFRS, FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A reporting standards.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure work is completed to a high technical standard.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture by supporting colleagues and promoting the organisation's values.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge and professional skills through ongoing learning and study. 

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be part ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years' experience preparing trust and company accounts. You'll have a good working knowledge of IFRS, FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A, together with the ability to prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients. Strong numerical, analytical and spreadsheet skills are essential, along with excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines. You'll be a positive team player with strong communication skills, a willingness to support junior colleagues and a genuine commitment to continuing your professional development.
