Working within a risk-based supervisory environment, you'll support reviews, research and regulatory activities designed to strengthen financial crime controls across the Bailiwick. The position offers excellent variety and significant professional development opportunities.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting financial crime supervision and risk-based regulatory activities.
- Assisting with on-site inspections and thematic reviews of regulated businesses.
- Conducting research, analysis and risk assessments across a range of financial services sectors.
- Reviewing customer files, regulatory submissions and risk mitigation programmes.
- Assisting with licence, product and exemption applications from a financial crime perspective.
- Analysing industry data and identifying emerging trends and risks.
- Supporting the preparation of reports, findings and regulatory feedback.
- Assisting with policy development and regulatory framework enhancements.
- Attending meetings with regulated firms and industry stakeholders.
- Supporting presentations, consultations and industry engagement initiatives.
- Assisting with projects, statistical exercises and internal improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial crime regulations and industry developments.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience within financial services, compliance, risk, audit, regulatory or a related environment and demonstrate strong analytical and investigative skills. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the confidence to review information, identify risks and produce clear, concise reports. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. An interest in financial crime prevention, AML/CFT regulation, regulatory policy and emerging financial services trends would be highly advantageous. The successful individual will be proactive, inquisitive and committed to ongoing professional development.
