This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional looking to strengthen their generalist experience within a fast-paced commercial environment. The HR Assistant will support the delivery of a compliant, efficient and people-focused HR service.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Managing recruitment administration, including inbox management, interview coordination and candidate communication.
- Preparing offer letters and contracts, ensuring all starter documentation is complete prior to commencement.
- Coordinating onboarding processes including system setup, benefits administration and induction scheduling.
- Conducting pre-employment screening checks including references and qualification verification.
- Supporting visa, work permit and related compliance processes.
- Processing starters, leavers, transfers and contractual changes accurately within HR systems.
- Maintaining employee records and ensuring GDPR-compliant filing standards.
- Recording and monitoring absence data and preparing monthly absence reports.
- Supporting training requests, learning records and engagement initiatives.
- Administering benefits changes and insurance updates.
- Raising purchase orders and supporting HR invoicing processes.
- Supporting audit preparation and compliance documentation retrieval.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory, data protection, information security and health and safety requirements.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards qualification and have prior HR administration experience within a fast-paced commercial environment. They will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational ability and the capacity to manage competing priorities. High attention to detail, professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information are essential. The successful candidate will be confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office tools, proactive in their approach and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
