Working within a dedicated Crew Employment & Payroll team, this role supports the delivery of compliant payroll and HR services to international yacht clients. It is well suited to someone with maritime exposure or transferable office administration experience!
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing crew payroll and associated reporting using payroll software.
- Reviewing and calculating bonuses, allowances and deductions.
- Distributing payslips and handling payroll-related queries.
- Administering social insurance registrations and contributions where required.
- Managing day-to-day payroll and HR administration for a portfolio of clients.
- Liaising with yacht owners, managers, crew and external bodies such as authorities and banks.
- Preparing employment contracts, addendums and termination documentation.
- Administering payroll data, producing payroll reports and raising invoices.
- Managing client bank accounts and payments in line with contractual and statutory deadlines.
- Ensuring crew MLC qualifications and compliance documentation are up to date.
- Reconciling payroll accounts and reporting status updates where required.
- Attending industry events, client meetings and boat shows where necessary.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and numeracy skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Experience within payroll, yachting or a client-facing administrative role would be advantageous, although transferable office administration skills will also be considered. They will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to multitask within a busy team environment. Good IT proficiency, attention to detail and a professional manner when dealing with clients are essential. This role sits within a structured salary band appropriate for a junior-to-mid-level position, with remuneration assessed based on maritime knowledge and relevant experience.
