This junior opportunity combines technical learning with practical exposure to how data is used across a financial services business. You'll work with Excel, Power BI and a variety of data sources while helping colleagues understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach will be particularly valuable.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Support the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel.
- Collect, validate and analyse data from various business sources.
- Assist with regular management information and performance reporting.
- Identify trends, patterns and opportunities through data analysis.
- Work with stakeholders across different departments to understand reporting requirements.
- Help maintain data accuracy and consistency across reports and systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.
- Undertake ad hoc analysis and project work as required.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards a qualification in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Finance or a related field, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, excellent attention to detail and the ability to organise your workload effectively. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential, alongside an interest in developing within data analysis and business intelligence. Previous experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL or large datasets would be advantageous, as would an understanding of insurance or financial services, although these are not essential.
