A solid entry-to-mid level role offering the opportunity to support IT operations within a multi-jurisdictional business. Working as part of a collaborative IT team, the successful candidate will provide first-line technical support across a range of hardware, software, and network issues. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-first mindset.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Providing front-line support for hardware, software, and network-related queries.
- Managing support tickets, ensuring accurate prioritisation and escalation when needed.
- Assisting with user access, security, and general network administration.
- Keeping documentation and records up to date within the IT ticketing system.
- Supporting internal customers with clear communication and practical solutions.
- Delivering on-the-job coaching and technical guidance to colleagues as appropriate.
- Identifying opportunities to improve IT processes, systems, or user experience.
- Staying informed on IT best practices and security protocols relevant to supported systems.
- Working collaboratively to contribute to broader IT and business goals.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of IT systems including Microsoft environments, Citrix, and VMware. A recognised IT qualification such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Technician is desirable, along with a minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (grades A-C or equivalent). Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to excellent service are essential. Some experience in a similar role would be beneficial, though not required.
