Our client is seeking a technically minded and motivated individual to join their growing fund accounting team. This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic firm specialising in real estate and private equity structures. Working as part of a dedicated and professional team, the Fund Accountant will take responsibility for delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting across a diverse client base.

Responsibilities
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Developing a strong understanding of client activities, structures and underlying agreements.
- Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules and investor reports.
- Producing interim management accounts, NAVs, debt covenant reports, VAT filings and cashflow forecasts.
- Managing audit cycles, including collation of audit files and liaison with auditors and external parties.
- Preparing and reviewing capital account statements, drawdown notices and distribution calculations.
- Maintaining strong client relationships and actively supporting onboarding of new business.
- Monitoring workloads across the team, identifying priorities and coaching junior staff where required.
- Ensuring all statutory and regulatory deadlines are met with accuracy and timeliness.
- Supporting other business areas within the wider client team as necessary.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar fund accounting role or in audit with a focus on private equity and real estate funds. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and other relevant accounting standards is essential. The successful candidate will be part-qualified or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, and will demonstrate a commercial mindset, strong attention to detail and an ability to manage client relationships with confidence.
