A brilliant opportunity has arisen for an experienced accounting professional to join an internal finance team on a 4-4.5 month temporary contract, commencing mid-February 2026. The position supports core financial reporting while providing additional capacity during a busy period- well suited to an accountant comfortable supporting established processes!
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal financial reporting.
- Support the preparation of consolidated annual financial statements.
- Assist with debt collection activity, cash flow monitoring, and analysis of expenditure.
- Post accruals and prepayments in line with reporting timetables.
- Prepare basic UK GAAP consolidated financial statements and supporting audit working papers.
- Support the internal finance team with ad hoc accounting and reporting tasks as required.
- Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of internal financial records and documentation.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have sound technical knowledge and practical experience in internal financial reporting, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, with familiarity with finance systems advantageous but not required. A relevant professional accounting qualification is preferred, along with the ability to work to deadlines, communicate clearly, and support structured reporting processes during a fixed-term assignment.
