From premiums and claims to management accounts and regulatory reporting, you'll gain exposure to a varied range of accounting activities. Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.
- Complete bank, premium, claims and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Account for premiums, claims, commissions and reinsurance transactions.
- Manage cash movements, payment processing and cashflow monitoring.
- Assist with statutory financial statements and annual audit requirements.
- Support regulatory and solvency reporting.
- Prepare financial information for Boards, regulators and other stakeholders.
- Assist with maintaining effective financial controls and improving accounting processes.
- Provide wider support to the Client Accounting team as required.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified, part-qualified or a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accountant, with previous experience in financial accounting and reporting. You'll have strong Excel and reconciliation skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships effectively. Previous insurance accounting or regulatory reporting experience would be advantageous, as would knowledge of insurance operations, IFRS and wider financial services. You'll be analytical, organised and comfortable working independently while maintaining a strong client service and collaborative approach.
