Internal Audit Manager

• Plan, undertake and manage risk-based Internal Audit reviews.
• Evaluate internal controls, risk management processes and governance arrangements.
• Contribute to annual risk assessments and Internal Audit planning.
• Draft clear audit findings and recommend practical remedial actions.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Prepare Executive management information and Audit Committee reporting.
• Support assurance assessments relating to key systems of internal control.
• Monitor agreed audit actions and follow up with management on progress.
• Validate completed actions and ensure identified root causes have been addressed.
• Support regulatory and senior stakeholder reporting where required.
• Provide line management, coaching and development to the local Internal Audit team.
• Promote continuous improvement and good audit practice across the function.

The ideal candidate will be a professionally qualified audit professional, holding a qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIIA, with proven Internal Audit experience and strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management and governance. You'll be confident working with senior stakeholders and able to challenge constructively while providing clear and commercially practical recommendations. Financial services experience is desirable, with exposure to the insurance industry particularly welcomed, while experience auditing technology areas or using data analytics would also be beneficial. Line management experience would be advantageous, as the role includes responsibility for one direct report based in Guernsey.
