Supporting clients through complex regulatory challenges requires sound judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical solutions. As a Compliance Consultant, you'll advise on governance, AML and regulatory matters while acting as a trusted partner to clients across a range of sectors. The role offers a varied workload with the opportunity to influence both client outcomes and the future development of the business.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of compliance consultancy clients, delivering practical and commercially focused advice.
  • Act as MLRO, MLCO and Compliance Officer for client entities where required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to expand existing services.
  • Advise clients on governance, regulatory compliance, AML/CFT and risk management matters.
  • Draft, review and implement compliance policies, procedures and governance documentation.
  • Deliver bespoke compliance consultancy projects tailored to client requirements.
  • Design and deliver compliance training and awareness sessions.
  • Produce articles, presentations, podcasts and other thought leadership content.
  • Monitor work in progress, manage budgets and negotiate fees with clients where appropriate.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy. 

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience within Guernsey compliance, together with an ICA Certificate or Diploma and demonstrable experience acting as an MLRO, MLCO or Compliance Officer. Previous experience within a GFSC-regulated fiduciary environment is essential, alongside a strong understanding of governance, AML/CFT and regulatory compliance requirements. You'll be confident working independently, managing client relationships and delivering practical compliance advice, with excellent communication, presentation and drafting skills. A proactive, commercially minded approach and the ability to contribute to business development, training and thought leadership will be key to success in this role.
