This is a unique opportunity to shape the operational resilience agenda within a leading international private banking business. Working across risk, technology, cyber security and third-party oversight, you'll help safeguard critical operations while embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the implementation and ongoing development of the local Operational Resilience Framework.
  • Acting as the local operational resilience lead and representative within governance forums.
  • Identifying, reviewing and maintaining critical business functions and disruption tolerances.
  • Developing and managing operational resilience testing programmes and recovery exercises.
  • Preparing resilience testing reports and overseeing remediation activities.
  • Monitoring resilience risks and reporting outcomes to local and Group governance committees.
  • Promoting operational resilience awareness and delivering staff training initiatives.
  • Collaborating with technology, information security, business continuity and risk teams.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for third-party risk management and outsourcing governance.
  • Chairing local outsourcing and third-party governance committees.
  • Coordinating cyber resilience initiatives and supporting information security activities.
  • Supporting data protection, regulatory compliance and assurance reviews.
  • Driving continuous improvement across resilience, governance and control frameworks.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience within operational resilience, operational risk, business continuity, third-party risk or a related discipline gained within a regulated financial services environment, ideally banking. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of operational resilience frameworks, outsourcing governance, business continuity planning and risk management, together with experience leading cross-functional initiatives and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders. Knowledge of cyber security, information security and regulatory expectations would be highly advantageous, as would experience using governance and reporting tools such as ServiceNow. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills, together with the ability to influence, challenge constructively and promote a strong culture of resilience across the business.
