This is a high-impact role within a dynamic and internationally recognised financial services business. The role focuses on leading monitoring, governance and advisory functions while developing and mentoring a team.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting and deputising for the Head of Compliance.
  • Managing and developing members of the compliance team, including workload allocation.
  • Providing coaching, mentoring and performance development.
  • Attending internal committees and contributing to governance processes.
  • Delivering a high-quality compliance advisory service across the business.
  • Ensuring compliance monitoring programmes are completed in line with plans.
  • Preparing management information, reporting and analysis.
  • Drafting and updating compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring the business remains compliant.
  • Promoting a strong compliance culture across all levels of the organisation.
  • Acting as MLRO and MLCO. 


Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years' experience within a compliance or technical role and hold a relevant professional qualification at Diploma level. They will have prior experience holding Guernsey prescribed roles, specifically as MLRO and/or MLCO, and demonstrate a strong working relationship with the local regulator. A background in funds and/or private client or trust is preferred, with a solid baseline understanding across both areas advantageous. They will be an established leader with strong people management experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. The successful individual will be comfortable operating within a fast-paced, global group environment and demonstrate a collaborative, adaptable approach. A hands-on mindset is essential, with the ability to take ownership while remaining flexible across jurisdictions including Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. Candidates with demonstrated stability and tenure in previous roles will be viewed favourably.
