This is a fantastic career-enhancing opportunity for an experienced trust professional with strong analytical capability. You will lead periodic fiduciary and compliance reviews while contributing to board-level reporting and policy development.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking periodic fiduciary and compliance risk reviews across a portfolio of client structures.
  • Assisting with the scheduling and organisation of review cycles throughout the year.
  • Identifying, assessing and reporting on fiduciary and compliance risks to ensure legal and regulatory standards are met.
  • Liaising with staff on risk matters and promoting a positive risk culture across the organisation.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly risk reports for the Board.
  • Working closely with the Compliance team to ensure adherence to procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Carrying out new business searches and supporting regulatory due diligence processes.
  • Assisting with the review and update of policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the design and delivery of ad hoc risk and compliance training.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory developments and relevant case studies.
  • Liaising with senior risk and compliance leadership on emerging risk issues and operational practices.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience within the fiduciary industry, including previous exposure to risk-based roles and conducting fiduciary or compliance reviews. A strong understanding of relevant regulations, rules and codes is essential. STEP qualification or an equivalent professional qualification is required. The successful individual will demonstrate strong analytical skills, confidence in dealing with risk matters at all levels, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong organisational skills and proficiency in standard office systems are also necessary.
