Senior Fund Accountant/Valuations Technician

This is a technically focused role for someone with hands-on valuation experience in private funds or alternative investments. You'll combine accounting rigour with commercial judgement in a business that values innovation, and gain exposure to private equity and alternative structures, alongside the chance to drive efficiency improvements!
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and reviewing fund NAV calculations, with focus on investment valuations.
- Leading or supporting valuation processes for portfolio investments.
- Applying appropriate valuation methodologies, including DCF and comparable multiples.
- Liaising with investment managers and portfolio companies for valuation inputs.
- Preparing valuation papers and supporting materials for Board review.
- Monitoring capital calls, drawdowns and distributions.
- Preparing management and investor reporting.
- Supporting annual audits, particularly valuation-related queries.
- Reviewing and improving valuation and reporting workflows.
- Leveraging emerging technology solutions to enhance efficiency and automation.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 4 years' experience in fund accounting or financial reporting within private equity, venture capital or similar alternative structures. Strong practical valuation knowledge and understanding of fund cash flows are essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, commercial judgement and a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.
