This 6-month contract offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing accounting team supporting sophisticated client structures across multiple jurisdictions. A strong emphasis is placed on leadership, technical accounting knowledge and delivering exceptional client service.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the accounting service line across Guernsey and Mauritius.
- Managing and supporting the workflow, development and performance of the accounting team.
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with IFRS, UK GAAP and relevant reporting standards.
- Overseeing the production of management accounts and periodic financial reporting.
- Providing technical accounting guidance and support to clients and colleagues.
- Monitoring KPIs, WIP and budgets across the accounting function.
- Supporting audit processes and ensuring deadlines and deliverables are achieved.
- Assisting with client meetings, business development initiatives and proposals.
- Supporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, AML and internal procedural requirements.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent and possess strong experience within fund, corporate or fiduciary accounting. They will demonstrate strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, alongside experience supervising and developing teams within a professional environment. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and build strong client relationships. The successful individual will be commercially aware, proactive and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment, with a positive and solutions-focused approach. Candidates available to commence immediately or within a shorter notice period would be particularly advantageous to support handover requirements.
