This is a key role within our clients' Operations team, supporting the delivery of accurate accounting and reporting services to a portfolio of client entities. The position offers a blend of technical accounting responsibility and close collaboration with client-facing colleagues in a regulated environment!

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing accounting transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records for client entities.
  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting accounting records for bookkeeping and reporting purposes.
  • Preparing and filing statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Reconciling bank accounts, valuations and accounting records for designated client accounts.
  • Supporting client-facing colleagues with accounting and reporting matters.
  • Ensuring receipt of signed financial statements completed by third parties.
  • Producing additional financial and management reporting as required.
  • Assisting with the preparation of client tax returns, including Guernsey, UK and other jurisdictional filings.
  • Preparing and submitting FATCA and CRS reports.
  • Ensuring submission of fiduciary pension returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Supporting payment processing and acting as an authorised signatory where required.
  • Producing management information and supporting internal reporting requirements.
  • Reviewing processes and identifying opportunities for automation and system improvements.
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and contributing to the maintenance of operational procedures and policies.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Liaising with clients, colleagues and external partners to support smooth operational delivery.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' accounting experience, ideally within a financial services or fiduciary environment, and hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification such as AAT or ACCA. They will have strong analytical and accounting skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence working with accounting records and deadlines. Strong IT skills are essential, including proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook, with experience of Acumen or similar systems considered advantageous. The successful candidate will be proactive, organised and able to work independently under pressure, while maintaining a collaborative, flexible and client-focused approach.
