Trainee Fund Accountant

• Undertaking bookkeeping, accounting and reporting for a tailored portfolio of venture capital funds.
• Supporting Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants with more complex client portfolios when required.
• Assisting with the preparation of quarterly management accounts and annual audited financial statements in line with IFRS and FRS 102.
• Responding to audit requests accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Providing relevant financial information to tax advisers to support tax reporting.
• Monitoring and responding to client queries and shared mailboxes in a timely manner.
• Working closely with fund administration teams to ensure accounting records are accurate and transactions are correctly recorded.
• Completing relevant training and attending professional qualification courses and examinations.

The ideal candidate will have A-Level qualifications or equivalent, or university education, with English and maths GCSEs (or equivalent) essential. They will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, good problem-solving ability and confidence working under pressure. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, alongside good computer literacy and an interest in the financial services industry. A willingness to learn and commit to professional studies is key to success in this role.
