Finance Manager

• Managing bookkeeping and producing monthly management accounts, KPI reporting and quarterly Board reporting.
• Overseeing and managing multiple fee streams within the business.
• Monitoring, authorising and processing expenses and payments.
• Preparing annual financial statements.
• Leading budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Liaising with external auditors and managing the audit process.
• Performing daily client cash account reconciliations.
• Managing bank accounts, monitoring cash flow requirements and undertaking foreign exchange transactions as required.
• Monitoring regulatory capital and liquidity requirements.
• Producing ad hoc regulatory and third-party reports.
• Acting as an A signatory across banking platforms.
• Managing and supporting one part-time member of staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting experience, ideally gained within a GFSC-regulated financial services environment. They will be familiar with GFSC and Guernsey Registry portals and have a good understanding of company secretarial matters. Strong Excel and Word skills are essential, alongside experience using accounting packages such as Xero. Preference will be given to ACCA or ICAEW qualified candidates. Just as important, the successful candidate will be personable, adaptable and comfortable working within a small team, demonstrating a calm, organised approach and the ability to manage deadlines and pressure effectively. This is a varied and interesting role for someone who enjoys taking ownership and working closely with the wider business.
