Working within an established fiduciary environment, this position focuses on delivering excellent client service while maintaining strong regulatory and operational standards.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and their advisers, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations effectively.
- Ensuring reports, correspondence and client information are prepared and delivered accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Performing day-to-day administration on a portfolio of trust and corporate client entities.
- Managing client and internal requests promptly and professionally, ensuring full supporting documentation is prepared and filed.
- Liaising with third-party banks, investment managers and other agents to ensure client assets are properly managed, reviewed and reconciled.
- Conducting periodic reviews of client entities and ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate client accounting records and documentation.
- Recording all work accurately on timesheets to support fee recoverability and efficiency targets.
- Monitoring and clearing debtors in line with agreed targets.
- Working collaboratively within a growing team across the Channel Islands.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be an experienced trust professional with at least 3-5 years' technical trust experience gained within financial or fiduciary services. They will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and be confident dealing with high-value clients and professional advisers by telephone, in correspondence and face to face. Good IT skills are required, with the ability to work confidently using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. A strong understanding of relevant anti-money laundering legislation is essential, alongside a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a 'can do, will do' approach. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player, adaptable to changing priorities, and ideally STEP qualified or part-qualified. Familiarity with fiduciary systems such as Acumen would be advantageous but is not essential.
