Working closely with Operations and Compliance, this role allows you to influence AML processes across the business while managing and developing a team.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and delivering AML monitoring programmes for individual and corporate customers.
  • Coordinating AML reviews for onboarding, trigger events and periodic review cycles.
  • Determining customer risk profiles and ensuring appropriate enhanced measures are applied.
  • Ensuring adherence to AML, CFT, anti-fraud and screening requirements, escalating to MLRO/MLCO where necessary.
  • Identifying and updating customer profile information and resolving data gaps.
  • Contacting customers when required to obtain documentation or clarification.
  • Maintaining accurate evidence of reviews performed.
  • Providing MI and review updates against targets and deadlines.
  • Testing new AML or Risk Assessment functionality.
  • Supporting AML-related projects and operational alignment activities across the Group.
  • Delivering training to operational teams and maintaining effective AML procedures.
  • Managing and developing a team across AML Quality Control and AML Review functions.
  • Engaging stakeholders across multiple regions to resolve issues and support review processes.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory changes and attending relevant training.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience within the finance industry and a strong background in AML, customer due diligence and quality risk reviews. They will bring excellent communication skills, strong organisational ability and the confidence to work independently while developing and guiding a team. A solid understanding of regulatory requirements and proficiency with Microsoft 365 are essential, together with a detail-driven, proactive and improvement-focused mindset.
